The Frankfurt Book Fair, Frankfurter Buchmesse, for people who have been coming for decades, runs from 7 to 11 October 2026 at Messe Frankfurt. It is the largest trade fair in publishing, and for four days the halls fill up with publishers, literary agents, rights managers, distributors, printers, illustrators and booksellers from over 100 countries.
Again this year, Double9 Books returns to Frankfurt for our second consecutive appearance, and you will find us at Hall 4.2, Stall D10.
Back in Frankfurt. Taking Books Further
Our first year at Frankfurt taught us something we did not fully expect. We went in thinking of the fair as a place to introduce our catalogue. We came out having learned how much demand there is for affordable, well-produced editions of public-domain classics in markets far outside India - and how many independent distributors are actively looking for a reliable print-on-demand partner rather than another large-run supplier.
That single insight shaped the way we are approaching 2026. Instead of arriving with a general catalogue, we are coming to Hall 4.2 with a focused set of conversations we want to have.
Hall 4.2 matters here. It is one of the halls where international trade publishers, educational publishers, and rights teams cluster, which means the people walking past Stall D10 are the exact people we want to be talking to - not general visitors, but working professionals with a mandate to buy, license, or distribute.
Who is Double9 Books
Double9 Books is an Indian trade publishing house founded in 2021, working out of Delhi. We publish world literature and timeless classics at accessible prices without cutting corners on production, and we work with both debut and established authors through a full-service book publishing model.
Our catalogue spans classics, gothic, historical fiction, drama, and action and adventure, and every title we release goes through professional editing, cover design, typesetting, and distribution. We operate on a print-on-demand module, which means a Double9 title does not go out of stock - an important detail for any bookseller or library planning long-tail inventory.

What we are bringing to Hall 4.2, Stall D10
For publishers and rights teams - We are open to translation rights, co-editions, and reciprocal licensing. If you publish in a language where affordable classic editions are underserved, our backlist is worth a look. We can also discuss acquiring rights for the Indian market, where our distribution is strongest.
For distributors and booksellers: Our full catalogue is built for volume without the volume risk. POD means you can list our titles without committing to warehouse stock, and our pricing is structured for markets where import costs usually make classics prohibitive. Bring your category gaps to the stall, and we will tell you honestly whether we can fill them.
For authors and agents - If you are looking for a publisher that works on your book rather than just printing it, come and talk. Our publishing packages cover editorial, design, ISBN, distribution, and marketing support. Some conversations are better had in person - Frankfurt is where they happen.
For printers and production partners: We are actively evaluating print partners in Europe to shorten delivery timelines for EU orders.
How to find us
Messe Frankfurt sits at Ludwig-Erhard-Anlage 1, 60327 Frankfurt am Main, right in the middle of the city and well connected by S-Bahn, U-Bahn and tram - the fairground has its own station, and Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof is a short ride away.
The exhibition grounds are large, so plan your entry point. Hall 4.2 is reachable from both the Torhaus (City) entrance and the Galleria entrance, with hall-level directories and staffed information points at every junction. Follow signage for Hall 4, then take the escalators to level 2.
Once inside Hall 4.2, look for Stall D10. Our team is at the stall across all four days.
If you would rather lock in a time than take your chances on a walk-up, write to us at shubham.jain@bookswagon.com and we will schedule a slot. Trade-day mornings - especially 7 and 8 October - fill up fastest, so earlier is better.
What to expect at Frankfurt Book Fair 2026
For anyone attending for the first time, the fair runs on a two-part rhythm. 7 and 8 October are trade-only - rights negotiations, scheduled meetings, agent tables and industry panels, with the halls at their most focused. From 9 October the fair opens to the general public as well, and the character of the halls changes completely: readers, students, cosplayers and families come through in large numbers alongside the trade crowd.
Alongside the halls, the fair programmes hundreds of events - author talks, translation forums, publishing-technology sessions, and the annual Guest of Honour pavilion, which is the cultural centrepiece of the fair each year. Full schedules and ticketing are published on the official Frankfurter Buchmesse website.
Last year was about meeting the industry. This year is about meaningful conversations within it. We’re going to build connections that matter.
