Bangs pursued higher education at Columbia College, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree, and later attended Columbia Law School. Although trained in law, he chose a career in writing and became known for his humorous and satirical works. His writing was often characterized by wit and light-hearted commentary on social and cultural issues, blending humor with thoughtful insights. Throughout his career, Bangs contributed to various publications and created many works of fiction, essays, and short stories. His most notable works include whimsical tales and humorous fiction, with a notable interest in the supernatural.
