About the Book

Hidden Water revolves around the intense rivalry between cattlemen and sheepmen in the Old West, set in a desert town. The narrative explores the struggle for land and water rights, with tensions escalating between the two groups. A newcomer, with a pacifist inclination, is drawn into this conflict when he takes on a role at a local ranch, highlighting the moral dilemmas of those involved. As the character interacts with locals, the underlying tension between the two factions becomes more evident, particularly as they clash over resources essential for survival. The setting presents a harsh and unforgiving environment where personal values and survival instincts often conflict. Through the protagonist's journey, the novel examines the complexities of frontier life, where individuals must grapple with their own beliefs while navigating the larger social and economic forces at play. The story delves into issues such as justice, survival, and the consequences of territorial disputes, capturing the challenges of living in a rapidly changing landscape. It also underscores the importance of moral courage when facing deep-seated social divides, providing a reflection on community, resilience, and human nature.
