"B.K. Das (Braja Kanta Das) was born on August 14, 1941, in pre-independent India, in a small village now part of Bangladesh. A civil Engineer by profession, he served the Government of Assam for over three & half decades, retiring as Chief Engineer, Department of Water Resources.
Beyond his engineering career, his lifelong passion for history, current affairs, and world events found new wings in the digital age. As an octogenarian, he embraced Google, Wikipedia, AI, and his smartphone to compile and share daily “This Day in History” messages with friends and family via WhatsApp.
